For the February launch, Paramount will offer a varied schedule of showings and the opportunity for subscribers to screen these hard to find films and to participate in Paramount’s Oscar voting - with prizes for those who pick the winner who will be announced on Oscar Night on February 27th.

The February 27th Visiting Film Maker Series features the screening of The Dress, produced by Ossining resident, Kristen Hester and Hesterhouse Productions. Shot entirely on location at Tarrytown's historic Lyndhurst estate, this 20 minute comedy about modern day weddings explores the themes of family, identity and absolute truth. It is destined for success, and the audience will have a chance to meet the filmmakers with a Q & A and reception during intermission with live music by the Sabatino Brothers.

According to Pat Braja, Acting Executive Director of the Paramount, “The Paramount’s collaboration with Emerging Pictures offers a rare opportunity to expand our film programming with presentations of first run independent and foreign-language films, documentaries, as well as stunning HD presentations of operas, ballets, and Shakespeare plays from the world over. We are thrilled to continue bring the pubic the best in cultural entertainment.”

In the coming months, the Paramount will present opera from the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and the Royal Opera House in London, taped performances from Russia's Mariinsky Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, the Paris Opera Ballet, and the ballet company of the Royal Opera House, and Shakespeare plays from the Globe Theatre in London through the Emerging Pictures network.
