Which Room is Greater?

1. 2.

The weather is getting cold and it is time to move indoors. But what makes the perfect room to while away the winter hours? Room 1 is listed by Houlihan Lawrence for $8,495,000 and is sold with a 5,800 square foot stunner built in 1879 and set on 12 acres landscaped by Frederic Law Olmstead. Room 2 can be found in a 7,800 square foot modern masterpiece built in 1999 and located on 6.5 acres. It is also far cheaper, at a mere $3,600,000 (Coldwell Banker). So, where would you rather spend the next few months?

I'll take number 1. It is grand but warm. The other one is cool but cold.

Room 2. No contest. Room 1 is prissy and closed off. With its tiny windows and frilly curtains, it might as well be an apartment in the city. Room 2 is light, airy, and celebrates the natural environment around it.

Room 2, hands down.
