Teatown Contempo

With 4.6 stunning acres in the bucolic Teatown area, this property is pretty appealing. It's very close to the Teatown Lake Reservation and a quick drive to Ossining and Croton. The house itself--which has an Ossining address and Croton schools--has plenty of potential. Built in 1978, the 2,900 square foot, 3 bedroom contemporary has the trademarks of it's era--soaring ceilings, open spaces, and lots of windows. While the kitchen appears to have been renovated in the last decade (there's the telltale stainless appliances and granite counters), the home looks to need some polishing. Cons are that the exterior is partially vinyl and the taxes ($18,359) are on the high side for the price range. $790,000

Dan, that's interesting. What is your concern about well water? I have it and love it. You do need to get it tested every blue moon, but ours has always passed with flying colors. And the area in general has a tremendous underground water supply. Being part of the watershed, there is ample, excellent water under us. I'm just curious as to what your concerns about well water are.
