Dutch Treat

Located in the heart of the picaresque village of Katonah, this new listing certainly has some appeal. The 1907 Dutch Colonial has recently been renovated and is reportedly in mint condition. The house has 2,300 square feet, 4 bedrooms, and some lovely details, such as two stone fireplaces. While the kitchen isn't my style, it will probably please many. The quarter-acre lot has a large side-area with a new slate patio. A con is that the property appears to back up to a commercial building on Katonah Avenue. In the current market, guesstimating what is priced-to-sell and what's priced-to-sit is a tough call, but I'd bet the asking is a tad aggressive. Anyone else care to make a prediction? $1,285,000

Actually, this seems well priced to me. A year ago it would have been closer to 1.5 million. A mint house with charm in Katonah is going to appeal to a lot of people. Like me!

I love the house, but 1.85 for 2,300 square feet seems too high. I bet it drops a bit.

Review the additonal pictures on the realty's website, the kitchen is a bit oddly designed.
